Too much information is not doing us much good
After enduring the 1st 9 days of my new life in Essex, I am reminded again about the credo of anti internet movement, "too much information will lead us nowhere".
In the past days, I have to shift through all kinds of registration process, adjusting process with the lifestyles, reading all sorts of regulations and procedures, learning how to operate things in our accommodation and the surrounding facilities. Mind you, the university is doing their best to help us, giving us tons of pocket guidelines (on being a fresher, on library, on student union, on accommodation network, on welcome to Essex, etc) and lots of online reading materials (on everything that matters and dont really matter, to me at least) and to make some student union staffs (or whatever they call it here, I’m not sure) stand around the campus for a week, ready to answer questions and point directions to us newbies. But it’s just too much for some of us.
I mean the load of information they provided for us, could even be given as a one semester course of BA.
And my MA course/s has not even started yet. (sigh) I know this would be a looong year, instead of a leisurely one.
I missed my Istanbul summer course.

Hi..congrats ya, you finally get the scholarship, I think. Can I ask u somethin’? how does it feel?
Well actually, I want it also even so much, as it always been my desire since my graduation. I’ve tried a lot, but always failed. Do you think it isn’t too much if I still have the dream?
